For the elevator and escalator industry

”Welcome to an industry with cohesion!

The Swedish Elevator Association has been the Swedish trade association for companies that manufacture, install and maintain elevators and escalators since 1992. The member companies represent over 80% of the Swedish industry.

Here you will find information about regulations, statistics and safety for those working in the elevator and escalator industry.

The important knowledge sharing

Knowledge sharing is important for several reasons. Together we can ensure continuous improvement in the safety, efficiency and reliability of elevators and escalators. As a member company, you are encouraged to report accidents and incidents on an ongoing basis and at least once a year via INSTA500. Knowledge sharing within the industry takes place within the framework of the Technology and Safety Committee.

Safety with the European Lift Association

To promote safety in the lift industry in Europe, the European Lift Association, ELA, has produced the safety brochure “Basic safety principles for lifts” including comprehensive working material for companies’ safety work. The material is complemented by a film on lift safety.
