Membership in the Swedish Elevator Association

The Swedish Elevator Association is the Swedish trade association for companies that manufacture, install and maintain elevators and escalators. The companies that are currently members of the Swedish Elevator Association represent over 801% of the market for elevators and escalators in Sweden.
The goal of the Swedish Elevator Association's work is to promote the positive development of the industry by offering all members activities, information and the opportunity to actively participate in committee work.
Our important committees
The most important work takes place within the Technology and Safety Committee, the Communications Committee, the Education Committee and the management group for the YH education in Tumba.
Member benefits
The Elevator Association is a non-profit association with offices at Teknikföretagens Branschgrupper AB. Companies that are members of a trade organization with offices at us are welcome to take advantage of discount agreements and benefits in many different areas through Teknikföretagen Plus.
Cost of membership
The operations and activities for the members are financed through a service fee (deductible) and a membership fee (not deductible). The Elevator Association's membership fee for the coming year is decided together with the budget at the association's autumn meeting. The fee consists of a fixed part that is the same for all members, and a variable part that is based on the company's turnover for the past two years. The Elevator Association also offers associate membership for companies that operate in the elevator and escalator area, but that do not meet all the criteria according to the Elevator Association's statutes.

Before your company applies for membership in the Swedish Elevator Association, it is important to read the association's statutes and code of conduct. If you do not meet the requirements for a member company according to § 5 Membership you can apply for associate membership.

A membership that provides security
The Swedish Elevator Association represents companies operating in Sweden by:
- actively safeguard the interests of members towards suppliers and national and international authorities;
- continuously inform and educate member companies in technology, safety and construction law;
- be a referral body for elevator and escalator issues at the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, the Swedish Work Environment Authority and the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority;
- conduct vocational training for elevator and escalator technicians to ensure the long-term supply of trained labor to the industry;
- actively participate in advocacy work at the European level through membership in the European Lifts Association (ELA).
