Skills supply

Elevators and escalators are everywhere in residential buildings, workplaces and our public environments. For accessibility, a stalled elevator or escalator must be fixed quickly. Being an elevator and escalator technician is an important job. There are also many other exciting roles, from salespeople to technical specialists, supervisors and much more.

Welcome to an important industry that needs to grow!

The elevator and escalator industry is growing and the demand for trained and practically proven technicians is high. To ensure the long-term supply of skills to the industry, the Swedish Elevator Association is engaged in a vocational training program for elevator and escalator technicians together with the Xenter University of Applied Sciences in Tumba outside Stockholm.

The Swedish Elevator Association also emphasizes the importance of learning through professional life and the association provides continuous further training for its members through seminars and courses in safety, technology and law.
