These regulations gradually replace the old regulations and contain several significant changes.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Jonas Edahl, lead project manager at the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, has summarized the new building regulations and their significance for the Swedish Elevator Association. He emphasizes that these changes are the most extensive in 30 years and are intended to facilitate new solutions, make it easier for the sector to take on new challenges, clarify society&#039;s minimum levels and streamline functional requirements so as not to dictate the solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other things, general advice and references to standards are disappearing, new regulations are being introduced that require clearer requirements for documentation during design, execution and inspection. Overall, there is a heightened responsibility for developers regarding professionalism and when, where and how inspections should be carried out, as well as what risk assessments have been made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To facilitate the transition, it will be possible to choose which regulatory framework to apply during a transition period until 1 July 2026. However, it is not permitted to combine parts from different regulatory frameworks \u2013 the chosen regulatory framework must be followed in its entirety.
