Folder – Sweden needs new support for modern and accessible elevators

Sweden is facing a growing accessibility challenge. At the same time as the population is getting older, many people live in properties where there is no elevator or where existing elevators do not meet today's accessibility and safety requirements. For thousands of elderly people and people with reduced mobility, this means that their own home risks becoming an obstacle instead of a safe place to live. Sweden needs new support for modern and accessible elevators highlights the need for new government support for the modernization and retrofitting of elevators in apartment buildings - an investment that can make a big difference for both individuals and society.
