Hissförbundet representerar företag verksamma i Sverige genom att:

actively safeguard the interests of members towards suppliers and national and international authorities;
continuously inform and educate member companies in technology, safety and construction law;
be a referral body for elevator and escalator issues at the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, the Swedish Work Environment Authority and the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority;
conduct vocational training for elevator and escalator technicians to ensure the long-term supply of trained labor to the industry;
actively participate in advocacy work at the European level through membership in the European Lifts Association (ELA).
