Yrkes-SM gives visitors the opportunity to discover and explore different professions. On May 4–6, 2026, the elevator and escalator industry will participate in Yrkes-SM for the first time.
Yrkes-SM is a Swedish vocational skills championship for young people. In addition to receiving information about professions and vocational training and trying out different vocational skills, visitors have the opportunity to see Sweden's most professionally skilled young people under the age of 25 compete for the SM title in a range of different professions.
The purpose of the Swedish Elevator Association's participation in the Yrkes-SM is to increase knowledge and awareness of the different career paths available within the elevator and escalator industry. At the same time as we raise the status and attractiveness of the profession, we select Sweden's most professionally skilled young people who then have the opportunity to take a place in Sweden's most important national team - the Yrkeslandslaget.
Nominate a contestant: Are you Sweden's best elevator technician?
To choose Sweden's best elevator technicians, the competitors are tested in troubleshooting, programming and problem solving. To compete in the Vocational Championship, the competitor must be a professional elevator technician or be attending/have attended a vocational training course to become an elevator technician.
Note that:
- The contestant must be under 25 years of age.
- The competitor is undergoing or has undergone vocational training to become a lift technician.
- The contestant is available for parts of May 4-6 in Stockholm
